Name:  Sophie Corlay

What are you known for? (Inside and/or outside Usabilla)
Taking a wine course and getting better at wines everyday. Cheers.

If you wouldn’t have wound up in your current job, what would you have done?
I think I would have become a TV presenter. I love talking, and like that I always know what’s happening.

Which song best describes your role at Usabilla?
Lost Frequencies & Zonderling – Crazy

What’s the weirdest thing we’d find in your desk drawers?
Brushes and make-up for photoshoots.
And gummies that fix cables to your desk. But then again my charger ALWAYS gets stolen, so it’s really one of those “one day I might ever need this” thing.

If you could switch roles with another Usabilla employee for the day, who would it be and why?
Receptionist – I still need to work on my phone voice. I don’t know, I love it that you’re so crucial to people, even if it’s for a tiny moment. And, what a great place to mess with people.

Order

In one word, how’s the dynamic between you and your seatmate?
Honestly? Like your little sister, you love and hate her at the same time.

If you were CEO for a day, what would you change?

  • Order new coffee machines.
Actually really good ones. I have seen people being swayed to take a job just because the coffee was great.
  • Give everyone a free day for volunteering activities.
    Myself I can’t wait.
  • Invite all our neighbours for drinks on the terrace.
You never know what might come out of it.
  • Re-arrange the desks and mix up the teams.
I am curious to see what happens if you sit next to people you have no clue about they do.
  • Encourage people to go for walks outside, or have meetings outside.
It’s an efficient and easy way to think literally – outside.
